Secretary of State for War to acquaint you that the exchange of certain lands at Hong Kong still in dispute between the Colonial Govern- ment and the War Department formed the subject of a recent inter- departmental conference at the

Treasury, and to forward for your information a copy of the report, from which it will be seen that the question has been fully dealt with.

2. The Secretary of State for War is of opinion - and the Secre tary of State for the Colonies agrees that the mutual concessions recom-

mended by the members of the confer-

ence satisfactorily settle the mat- ters under discussion, and I am to request that you will arrange with His Excellency the Governor of Hong Kong in accordance with the terms of
